Look Keo Blade Carbon TDF Pedals - YellowThe Look Keo Blade Carbon TDF (Tour de France) Pedals have been designed and developed  with input from some of the World's greatest cycling champions for optimal  efficiency and performance; the Keo Blade Carbon Pedals are built to get you on  top of the podium. This TDF special edition model celebrates the yellow colour of the leader's jersey.Features:  Material: Body: Carbon; Spindle: CrMo  Bearings: 1 roller bearing, 1 needle bearing  Pedal Stack Height: 14.8mm  Platform Width: 67mm  Contact Surface Area: 700 square millimetres  Tension: Supplied with 12Nm carbon blades installed and additional 16Nm carbon blades (20Nm carbon blades sold separately)Technologies:  Carbon Body and Blade Technology: Carbon lightens the weight of the pedal and provides an additional gain in stiffness for improved power transfer. Using a blade instead of a conventional metal spring has many advantages such as safer cleat entry & release, a more aerodynamic shape and a lighter weight.  Optimised Spindle Profile: The Keo Blade pedal spindle was designed to obtain a very low stack height. It uses a needle bearing cartridge installed in a central position for better stress resistance while pedalling and two spaced out ball bearings, which distribute the load, providing increased rigidity between the body and the length of the spindle guaranteeing excellent rotational speed. Spindle play (related to internal bearing movement and part wear) is eliminated by a wave spring that constantly applies a pre-load that does not deteriorate over time. When pushing hard on the pedals, this system can completely eliminate the annoyances caused by any play (noise and sensation of friction). Look spindles are only approved after a rotational test of 2 million cycles at 100rpm with a load of 90kg on the centre of the pedal and an eccentric rotation, which creates stress on each revolution. This is equivalent to a sprint by André Greipel of 1700 watts at 100rpm for 333 hours! This test is much more demanding than the current standard, the ISO 4210.  Ultra-Powerful Platform: To meet the demands of the most demanding cyclists, especially competitors, the pedal/cleat system must allow efficient power transfer thanks to a broad and rigid platform. Because of this, the Keo Blade Carbon platform is fitted with a 67mm wide, stainless steel plate that optimises the cleat/pedal contact area regardless of pedalling angle. With 700 mm² of surface area, the Keo Blade Carbon offers an optimised contact platform for an efficiency and power transfer that is unmatched on today's market.Buy Look Components from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.

Look Keo 2 Max PedalsSlimmed down but with a wider, more efficient contact area, you get the best of both worlds with the revised Look Keo 2 Max Pedals. With a slimmer profile, these pedals look great on any bike and they provide a larger surface area to push against, optimising both comfort and power transfer.Features: Body Material: Composite Spindle Material: Oversized CrMo Intended Use: Recreational to competition Pedal Stack Height: 17.3mm (inc. cleats)Contact Surface Area: 500mm² Tension: 8Nm to 12Nm adjustable spring Cleats: Supplied with grey Look Keo Grip CleatsFloat: Black Cleat: 0°; Grey Cleat: 4.5°; Red Cleat: 9° (grey 4.5° cleats supplied) Weight: Pedal: 130g; Pair with Cleats: 328gTechnologies:Optimised Surface Contact: The Look Keo 2 Max pedal’s surface area has substantial symbolic importance. It is part of the brand’s identity and acts as an indelible signature on the product. The contact surface of these revised Keo 2 Max pedals preserves the strong lines on which its history was built. Its width has been increased to 60 mm to provide a larger platform and improved foot stability during pedalling. This creates a feeling of unrivalled comfort not found in any other pedal. Look also sought to optimise power transfer thanks to its larger 500 mm² of usable surface (+25% increase). The shape of the stainless-steel plate has been revised to match that of the cleat and to keep, regardless of the position of your foot (depending upon the angular float you use), the same amount of contact for consistent performance. Increasing the pedal’s usable contact surface, without any additional weight gain, improves the power to weight ratio, making the product even better and allowing you to perform at your best. Improved Spindle Profile: The spindle profile of the Keo 2 Max pedals has also been optimised. Built around an oversized CrMo+ steel axle, it is composed of an axle with an inner ball bearing and a needle roller bearing, located under the contact surface, to handle the load and distribute it optimally. A new component has been added between these two bearings. A serrated washer, previously used to hold the needle roller bearing in place, has been replaced with a conical spacer. This technical solution reduces friction, increases fluidity, and by consequence, decreases the geometrical tolerances of the pedal body and play. The sole purpose of the sum of these improvements has been to guarantee you irreproachable reliability.Buy Look Components from Chain Reaction Cycles, the World's Largest Online Bike Store.

Pure Prairie League

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Pure Prairie League is an American country-rock band whose roots began between 1964 and 1969 in Waverly, Ohio with Craig Fuller, Tom McGrail, Jim Caughlan and John David Call. The band's name was chosen in 1970 by McGrail after a 19th century temperance union mentioned in the 1939 film Dodge City. The band has had a long run, active from the 1970s through the late 1980s and was revived in the late 1990s for a time, then again in 2004. Although the band has its roots in Waverly, Ohio, it was actually formed in Columbus, and had its first success in Cincinnati. Fuller (who would also play with J.D. Blackfoot and Little Feat), McGrail, Caughlan and Call had played together on and off since high school. An early pre-Pure Prairie League recording was a George Ed Powell penned composition, "Break Me Down to Pieces" with Powell (acoustic guitar and vocal), Fuller (lead guitar and vocal), McGrail (drums), Kenny May (bass) and David Workman (pedal steel guitar).

Vintage NRPS is an album by the country rock group the New Riders of the Purple Sage. It was recorded live on February 21 and February 23, 1971 at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York, and released in 1986. At the time of the Capitol Theatre shows, the New Riders of the Purple Sage were regularly performing as the opening act for the Grateful Dead. Jerry Garcia was a member of both bands. Garcia would play pedal steel guitar with the New Riders, then play electric guitar and sing with the Dead. A Grateful Dead concert from the same set of shows as Vintage NRPS was released as the album Three from the Vault.

Alive AG Long Time Leaving Land CD Couture, Chr...

Christa Couture's Long Time Leaving is celebration of ordinary heartache Criminally under-rated - The Georgia StraightnnFor most musicians, the break-up album is the quintessential songwriter cliché - bringing with it the burden to eek out some kind of originality from an oversubscribed muse. But for award-winning indie artist Christa Couture -- whose first three albums reflected on her teenage battle with cancer, the loss of her left leg to the disease, and the deaths of both of her young children under separate circumstances -- the opportunity to write songs about such ordinary heartache seemed like a welcome reprieve. On the Steve Dawson-produced Long Time Leaving, Christa offers a truly unique take on the topic thanks in part to a long and complex relationship with grief that's given her rare insight into its nuances. It's a mostly upbeat album filled with sweet soaring hooks, whimsical melodies, clever word-play and Christa's trademark sweet, quirky vocals. It is at times an album to sing along to, even an album to do housework too (!!) - something Christa was striving for - and an album about continuing to move forward in the aftermath of tragedy. The collection seems effortlessly cohesive as Christa's expansive vocals and singular writing style provide the foundation for an array of arrangements - ranging from the sprightly, minimalist Aux Oiseaux to the twangy Alone in This. The latter is Christa's Nashville breakup song, in honor of the city where the album was recorded. Juno-winner Dawson not only produced the album but also contributes as a musician, adding pedal steel Weissenborn, ukulele and electric guitar. The top-notch band is rounded out by Blackie and the Rodeo Kings' rhythm section: John Dymond (k.d. lang, Bruce Cockburn) on bass and Gary Craig (Jann Arden, Anne Murray) on drums. Famed Nashville-based fiddler Fats Kaplin also makes an appearance on the coquettish Lovely Like You. TRACKS: 1) The Slaughter 2) Alone in This 3) Michigan Postscript 4) Separation/Agreement 5) Zookeeper 6) Lovely Like You 7) In the Papers 8) Solid Ground 9) That Little Part of My Heart 10) If I Still Love You 11) When it Gets Dark Again 12) Aux Oiseaux
